CEQUIN GIG is a flexible triplex laminate made of Non-Alkali Glass Fabric/Cequin/Non-Alkali Glass Fabric. The glass fabric on the outer sides is made of continuous glass fibre yarn.

The laminate is designed for a maximized resin absorption, excellent conformability to round surfaces and high dielectric strength. Compareable products mgiht be NOMEX-board or Glass fibre reinforces composite boards. But unlike these product GIG absobs resin not only on the surface but saturates all through the complete thickness of the triplex laminate. The curing of the resin turns the saturated GIG in a rock-solid durable barrier. The major appliacation for this laminate are barriers for humidity and ground insulations in transformers.
