Polyimide B-stage is a pre-impregnated laminate composed of polyimide film coated on both sides with non-woven fleece. Subsequently the laminate is treated with a B-stage resin.
Polyimide film combines a high thermal resistance with excellent dielectrical properties. After the B-stage treatment the material is smooth and not sticky. Being exposed to the curing temperature, the resin glues to neighboring surfaces and completes its polymerization.
The product is designed where seamless insulation layer or excellent adhesion to neighboring surfaces are requested.
The product is designed as electrical insulating material for applications in motors and transformers with continuous operation temperature ≥180°C.
The shelf life of the material is 3 months.
